Stories like this are, at least I think, what this game is all about: getting us out riding.

Very much so, that's why garage pictures are discouraged and why we love so many of those "out there" type challenges.  Like a one-lane bridge or something.  You have to scour Google/Maps and go somewhere you've never been before!  At the very least, if it's a hot spot you get to share part of your world with the rest of us.

digging it. I was super pumped to be able to get a picture done. I've been following this thread on and off since last summer and never was able to get a pic in time.

Also, bike is running great now. Turns out gas was just low. I opened my tank when I was having problems and it appeared I had plenty of gas in there, but apparently it didn't. Odd since I should have had at least a half a tank since this was the tank I stored it on all winter, but I forgot some leaked unexpectedly right after storage, and I put maybe 50 miles on it, so I just assumed I had plenty. Guess not. Lesson learned, again, LOL. I hate having a bike with no gas gauge or gas light, HATE it. Anyway, limped it down the street later this afternoon, grabbed some seafoam, then rode it another quarter mile to the gas station, threw a little seafoam and a full tank and was able to crank on it for a good 30 miles with no issue. Note to self, use reserve setting when this happens next time. Looking forward to another riding season! Cheers all, thanks for the adventure guys/gals.

I can't wait to get back in this game either. Glad ya finally got a pic in time Torstein! I still love your bike... that yellow... 8)

I remember the first time I realized how tricky the tank likes to be... I had just bought the bike and had no clue as to how to fix anything on it... total noob. It kept dying (and the tank was full, that wasn't the problem at first)... and I took it to one of the only motorcycle shops in my town. They kept my bike for like 2 weeks and all they said it needed was a new frame petcock. I was excited to get my bike back and continue learning how to ride. Then the same crap started happening again... kept shutting off on me. I was on the side of the highway, frustrated, cold, embarassed etc... I pushed the bike over onto the grassy hillside and said I'm so done with this crap. My dad came with the truck and we got it home... turns out I was indeed outta gas that time.

Fun thing everyone should practice and get to know how to do is reach down behind your knee while riding and flip to reserve when the bike starts cutting out. Then remember that one of the next stops is to fuel up.
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

Or at least get to know mileage and be sure to reset the trip every fuel stop.  That's what I would do as I usually would bypass the petcock.

It's my wife's bday weekend, so I probably won't be able to get out and get this one, unless I find an excuse to run a quick errand on the bike lol. There are a couple of bicycle shops I know of nearby...

Alright...bike shop and body of water (Facebook group picture game)...I'll try to remember to get these tomorrow, as I plan to ride to work. I'm not sure about a bike shop between my house and my work though...

Ugh...it was pouring when I left the house this morning. I'm still going to try and sneak out for a quick ride after work if it's dry. Sunday looks like great weather. A friend of mine just got his gixxer back on the road, so we're planning a good ride for this weekend.

You are are taking too long!  It's ok, I need an excuse to show off the new ride!

New challenge is:

Your bike by a boulder or other large stone.  If you aren't sure if it's large enough, imagine if it would take more than 2 people to lift, or a piece of machinery.

Haha no worries there. We like seeing photos of the Duc ;) On Sunday we rode right past the bike shop I had intended to take a photo in front of, but lunch ran long and we were up against the clock so we didn't stop.

Here you go! Surely not the landscape you were looking for, but I spotted these out by my work's maintenance building next to the motorcycle parking. They're definitely big enough to meet your guidelines though. Next challenge: your bike in front of a gym.

I figured not everyone would have rocky terrain, left it open to be fulfilled at a local landscaper or something.
Good enough for me!

Nobody goes to the gym?

Does my house count? Because I have a home gym (of sorts). Or the mountain bike trail? That's my real gym.
