So I posted my gs500 on craigslist and some guy called 6 times all excited about it. I was thrilled  :icon_mrgreen:, I was going to sell it and upgrade to a Katana 750. Anyways , he came by with a friend and inspected all of my new parts and then offered me $500 less than I had it posted for  :cookoo: . I laughed  and told him to go and buy a 50cc scooter or dirtbike with his money  :nono: .

I hate tire-kickers and lowballers. (  :flipoff: ) I hope they got a flat tire on his 2008 Honda they pulled up in.  :icon_twisted:

It's called negotiating.  ;)

Had you come back with -250, he probably would have settled.  By laughing at him, all you did is ensure that he will never be back, even if he does find the extra $500.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

well I know market prices vary from one to the next but around here you'd be lucky to get the $1300 he offered for that bike.  A couple hundred more and you can buy a pretty nice F.

Not that I'd expect someone who thinks East is North to understand that

It's a geography thing.  You wouldn't understand.  No one in East Texas does.
