So, I have the chance to get a good deal on a new bike and I'm thinking of making the move.  I don't have the money to just buy it outright and wait to sell the GS so I'm putting out feelers to see if anyone is interested.

The quick details are:

Blue tank and fairings with a silver frame.
The bike is in Baltimore, MD.  I could deliver within reason.
Approximately 10,000 miles.  5000 of those are mine over the past two years.
'89 triple and clip-ons.
progressive springs.
already been jetted using the wiki page.
both tires are in almost perfect condition.
Brake pads are 1 season old.

The bike has never failed to start and runs perfectly for me.

I would probably be trying to get $1500 out of it.  Like I said, this is just an interest check at the moment.

When do you think you'd want to sell it?

I MIGHT be interested.  Currently don't have a gs, but am waiting to buy my old one back from the friend I sold it to.  It's a 92 with about 25k on the clock, but if I could pick up yours for only a few bucks more I might.  Problem is that I don't have 1500 sitting around right now, and won't for a while (that is, without dipping into savings).  If you've got somebody who's got the cash, then don't worry about me.

Got any pics?

What's different about the 89 triple tree than the later models?

89 is the only year to have clipon style bars stock.

if that's all it takes (aside from moving all the controls to the new bar) then that does make it a little more desirable.  though ive never had the clip on bars, perhaps i'd like them.....

but yeah, ill go with my original post that im slightly interested, just i dont have money in my pocket at the moment.  like i said, got any pics, and when are ya looking to sell?

I would prefer to sell it by the end of the month if possible.

I thought I had some pics but I can't find any right now.  I'll post some this weekend.

As for the bars.... I have the old top plate here.  I unfortunately don't have the actual bars anymore.

Changing it back is really as easy as taking out like 4 bolts and replacing the plate.  Then the controls just need to be moved to the new bars.  It can be done in probably 30 mins.
