Normally, I'll ride up until there's snow that STICKS to the ground, but today I decided that it would be the last ride of the season.  I sure as hell will be PISSED if the weather gets better.  :lmao

It's the first time one of my bikes have been able to hibernate indoors.  It was a challenge figuring out HOW to bring the bike UP one step, then DOWN four steps.  All these steps go through TWO doorways that are VERY narrow.  Luckily, I was able to bring the bike inside alone.


Next spring, I'll need at least another person helping me drag it out. 



At least I get to sit on her once in a while during this winter. I also got some plans for blue LED strips and possibly rim tape

On a weird note: Southern Louisiana(sp) and Texas had snow...  We had RAIN?!??!?!?  lol

It was 18*f yesterday morning.  Don't think cuz it's Texas it's all tumbleweeds and cactus.

You did catch that I said "yesterday", right? It's not even winter yet, maestro.  I mean, it's not a contest...I know this isn't the coldest place out there...but we'll see down to -5* before it's all said and done.  While I was working at the feedyard, which is still in Texas, I'd see -20*f a few times a year.

Like I said though...it's not a contest...after the temps gent down into the teens there's no point in specifics.  I'll not ride if it's snowing or the ground temp is below freezing...but that doesn't encompass the entirety of winter.

I think the best way NOT to get pissed is to do some mods to it.  I plan on taking my time putting the LED's on.

Aye, I feel for ye. Last weekend I smeared little baby Suzi-Q down with vaseline and "put her up for the Winter". But the good part is that we only have 8 weeks of Winter.

I put it on bare metal to keep it from rusting.

Hmm...  what about chrome to keep it from pitting?  Would that work too?

Pitting from exposure...not from like rocks and shaZam!.

oh..  is THAT why chrome pits?  rocks and such?  I thought it was from exposure....  like rust

Chrome should not pit at all, rocks ... well they are not as hard as chrome, it should not come off till the damn steel under it is bent and chrome cant stay stuck to it. Pits are due to poor prepping before chroming or impurities in the steel.
