You can upholster your seat into a nice "butt shaped" seat for ~150 to 200 ... corbin seats are not really that good, they have fiberglass pans, and it tears up the frame cos they ahve these riveted rubber stoppers, like what you find under chairs ... tacky crap ... it does fit and feel good ... I also dont like the idiotic matted crap they put on it. I re did mine in marine vinyl.
Still ... can upholster it a lot easier and cheaper.
Cool.

Hi all,
Actually, I would disagree with Buddha on this one.
I have a Corbin seat on my 1991 GS500E and love it.
It is comfortable, plants me properly on the bike and I love how it holds me in when I accelerate.
It also has a nice shape and is pretty on the bike.
It is heavier than stock, but that's the way it is.
I think that Corbin seats are worth the money.

I'd say nice concept, poor execution. The welted top cover is just awful. The pan with the darned riveted buttons in the thing for seat bearing points is another disaster.
I said it was comfy, just that it can be better, and there is better available ... or was available. However a re upholstering and some minimal riveting and re riveting etc can healp a lot. Heck, I'd put protection on the frame not the seat. Take off the bushings and put in with zip ties.
Cool.
