so i wanna remove the "Suzuki" and "GS500" stickers from my bike, how would you do it while still keep paint on the bike?

GeeP

What year GS?

The "SUZUKI" lettering on the tank of my '96 was under the clearcoat.

It is my understanding on the newer F-models, much of the graphics are applied over the paint.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

There are some posts about it. It seems very difficult to do without messing up the paint, and some of the stickers are even under the clear coat, which means you definitely have to take some of the paint off. Also, consider what the paint underneath the sticker is like. My '94 had a tank bra on it for many years, and when I took it off, the paint underneath was a very different color because it hadn't been exposed to UV like the rest of the tank. If you have an old bike, you might find that the outline of the sticker will still show up even if you get it off. Also, my 94's stickers are super crazy brittle. I picked at one a while back and it quickly became very apparent that the whole thing was going to come off in 2x2mm flakes instead of one piece. My solution? I bought a tank with fewer dents and plan to get the new tank and old plastics painted. All I have to do now is decide on a color...

Tank decals on my '04 are under the clearcoat.

yeah mine is a '93, and from looking at it seemed like it was under the clear cuz when i run my hand over it theres not really an edge there. I guess they'll have to stay on until I get the tank and plastics painted..............which is not anytime soon...........

haha yeah. on my 91 I had to peel them with a sharp chisel and try not dig into the plastics..... it was rough, but it looks so much better now! (I repainted it)
