Hi,

My name Fedli from Malaysia. Currently my bike have foot shift gear problem which is loose. Do I need to open the whole engine (overhull) or just a small part. Please advice

ohgood

do you mean your shifter is loose on the splined shaft  ?

if so:

MARK THE LOCATION of the shift lever with a pain pen on the shaft FIRST

1) remove the 10 or 12 mm bolt that holds it on
2) stretch a latex glove over the splined shaft
3) push the shift lever over the splined shaft with the latex glove still on the shaft.
4) replace and tighten the bolt that holds it on.

there, you just eliminated the slop in your shift lever.

hope i understood you right. there are other ways to do it, but i'm lazy/cheap. :)
