Too much money.  I bought a 1994 last year with 22,000 km for $1200, and I haven't had to put anything into it yet after 8000 km of riding.

Remember,  the gs500 is a lot cheaper in the States than it is in Canada. I agree $2000 is a little much, but $1500-1700 would be reasonable around here

Good Luck with the sale, a good solid original bike is well worth that much money! Canada and the US are 2 completely different markets.
