Any airsoft people?

I'm looking for a good reliable rifle and i am not sure where to start looking. I am just sick of getting the cheap backup gun to use that shoots like shaZam!, i always just end up using the CO2 pistol a buddy of mine carries

However when we were dicking around this weekend it was to cold and the CO2 was freezing up, go figure

I was just shooting my airsoft in the house tonight. I got an old cheap pull action hand gun looks like a colt. Not powerfull at all was attacked by a cat once ( I know I know) so I shot at it with the airsoft nothing he just kept coming ran through the cat door at me finally hit it with a garbage can lid WTF! But he sure as heck wasn't gonna get my kitty.

My younger brother plays alot, and if you read the reviews, you can ensure that you get a quality gun... not the wallmart crap that they sell at wallmart. They have a shotgun that shoots three bbs per shot in three seperate barrels. My little bro has one. I reccomend it, its pretty sweet.

It is a good piece of kit, about as powerful as CO2 pistols get here, 28 shot mag is handy. I have shot small rodents with it. Not the smoothest action but functional.
I have never heard of the CO2 freezing but they do get less efficient when cold, an fact there are several "keep-warm" holsters and cases available for this type of pistol.

Mary - Yeah i hear ya, i wouldn't let a stray or not so friendly neighbor cat touch my cat either.

Cal - the CO2 wasn't really freezing completely just not warming fast enought to create more CO2 gas, so it would be pow pow pow puff pink pink, then you would just wait and warm the CO2 area and you could shoot again, it was quite ghey. The electric rifle i was shooting was like a $30 wallmart special with the range of a drunk man taking a piss. Eventually i got close enough to get blasted in between the gaps in trees. i like the rifles for clip size, not having to reload a lot is awesome, even with 8 clips pistols get old sometimes(8-10 shot clips)

You can have my RR carbine action 200 shot range model air rifle if you agree to lick this metal pole here in Maine. Go ahead, I dare ya....I triple dog dare ya.

Any gas gun is going to suffer from cool down if you fire it too rapidly. Winter time makes that phenomena worse, so generally gas guns are considered all but unusable in the winter season.

You might want to consider a medium or high quality AEG (Airsoft Electric Gun). Something made by Tokyo Mauri, ICS or Classic Army. China is making some decent medium quality AEG's now. Look for brands like Cyma, Jing-Gong, A&K and D-boy. Google those brands along with the word "airsoft" and you should get plenty of hits. Or lurk around this site http://www.airsoftretreat.com and you'll learn more than you ever thought possible about the strange and varied world of airsoft.

Whatever you do, stay away from that clear plastic Wal-Mart crap. Just gives airsoft a bad name.

yeah i have seen a lot of those brands with vastly swinging price ranges. And as for clear plastic walmart crap trust me i have had enough, like i said i istly use the co2 pistol but in the winter thats not that great of an option

i would totally stick my tong to the pole but Maine is a bit of a hike and its to cold to ride

Yes, my cat has such an attitude. Her Name is AKASHA from the movie "The Queen of the Damned". She likes to get on your chest in the middle of the night and nibble at your neck. She is a freak! She's got six toes on her front paws so she has a total of 22toes. They look like freaking baseball mits. And she is hooked on Cat nip never seen a cat slobber like she does over her mouse. With the extra toe she can hold the mouse and she just puts it on her nose and start trippin! She needs an Intervention!

So, with the airsoft do you like shoot each other like paintball? I have a gel target that I shoot at. I used to be on the Rifle team in NJROTC was a ton of fun. It was high powered air rifles but they were powerful. Same ones they use in the Olympics.

Yeah so did we, the good old one punp BB wars, before airsoft or paintball were around. Wasn't the safest thing but then again guess you don't think like that when your a teenager

yup i remember doin thigns like that. i also shot a friend of mine in teh balls from 30 feet out using one. funniest damn reply i had ever seen. heard teh noise he chuckled, then face changes and hes like DUDE you shot my muts

its a replica of a Steyr AUG assault rifle, it should shoot around 375fps or maybe a hair better (specs say 435 with .20g BBs). Its held like this:

The clip is located in the stock allowing for a longer barrel in a more compact rifle, yada yada, i have always thought they look cool
