My wife has issues with the expresso machine so I bought her a kettle and a french press for christmas. I will never ever go back to making drip coffee ever again.

French press is similar to toddy method.
Espresso machines - have to have 100% stainless everything. No pump parts or boilers out of aluminum. That crap cannot be cleaned and it will scale up.
Braun used to make a great one, I bought the last 2 they had in North america. I bought them off the internet from canada in 1997.
Pity, walmart used to sell it, but I could not find it at all at any of them for months and then they stopped obviously cos braun quit making it.

i had a cup of folgers at work tonight wiht a capfull of kahlua and some cinnamon and sugar in it. OMG caffeine buzz from hell. trust me it wasnt teh kahlua doin that. there was nowhere near enough to get remotely buzzed

Eight O'Clock COLUMBIAN is very good, and only about $4 per bag.

Dunkin Donuts coffee is very good, but about $7 per bag.

Either one comes as ground or whole bean.  Invest in a burr grinder and grind your own right before brewing.  The difference is amazing!

If you want to spend some $$$, buy some AA Kenya.  Amazingly smooth, with no bitterness.  $14 per pound last time I had it.

No matter what method you use to make you coffee, make sure everything is CLEAN when you start.  Never just "rinse out" your parts!

I brew mine by the spoonful over a candle, then inject it directly...

I like the sumatra one for flavia myself. kenyan is very similar I think. Its a very volcanic soil around there isn't it. Sumatra is.
