I ordered a headlight assembly off of a guy in Cali that I found on Craigslist. He sent me a picture of what was included. In the picture there were 2 fork tube assemblies that appear to be for the left and right fork tube... shown here:

This is what was actually sent to me... notice there is no scratch on either rabbit ear. Am I wrong or are these the exact same piece? Are they supposed to be the same? If the guy in Cali does not send me the correct piece does anyone have the fork tube bracket and rabbit ear for the RIGHT side of the fork? Buddah? Thanks for the help guys.

On the last pic just flip the aluminum bracket on the left and you should be "all the way in the game"   O0

Cant do that, that turnsignal ear will hit the dash. You can chop it off and then it will fit.
Cool.

Yea it was an F. Dual is nice but I like the classic look of the round and it is cheaper. Those fairings used to drive me nuts... much better naked.

They are not mirror images average.
In fact there may be a slight other difference between left and right sides other than the turnsignal ear. There is a rotation retainer on the right only to cinch down the headlight. If you had 2 rights you could flip and cut and what not have have a decent pair but not with 2 lefts.

Step one - have you gotten after the seller to make it right? Presumably he's now sitting there with 2 rights on another set, so give the guy a chance to make it right - be patient, be nice, it works better than being an ass - and if after adequate time and requests it's still screwed, then drop the neg feedback bomb - but not before.

Udderwise go looking for a bike junkyard, or a junkyard with bikes.

I didnt get it off GSTwins. The guy who got 2 rights threw one out. I am getting a partial refund.

Hey did you get this right yet. Looks like you got the shaft. Anyway I have a set, left and right from a 2001 GS500. Sell to you for $20.00 + shipping. O0

I think you should be the guinea pig to try one of the universal fork tube brackets that are available out there.... Happy to spend your money for my benefit...
