the GS found me I was not looking to buy a bike. had no experience riding a motorcycle but a guy didnt have the cash to pay me for a car he wanted to buy so gave me his bike for half the payment. along with a jacket and helmate... so I hopped on it that day and have been riding ever since. I cant remember how I found this site but I did and love it.

I wasn't a member prior to owning the bike, but I lurked for a couple of weeks before getting my GS.  I had it narrowed down to the GS, the Seca II or the Bandit as a project bike to get back into motorcycling.  So I suppose I could have ended up a member of another bike specific forum.

Having said that, it was the quality of GStwin.com that helped tip the tables in favor of the GS.   :thumb:

this forum is great.  I owned my gs before even finding the forum but i did find the forum within the first week of buying my bike.

I browsed around here for awhile so that I would know what I could expect from a GS. Then I hunted one down and bought it. Then I became a member so i could ask questions :)

About a year and a half without a bike on another board.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

lessie, i joined ex-500.com first, thinking i'd buy a ninja. then i joined a hornet forum (honda 599), then a nighthawk forum.

iirc, i found a gs on craigslist the same week i  joined here. road it from the sale (300 miles) home, new tires, then 700 miles to tampa. this was within a week or so.
