And I wasn't impressed with the triwheeled things. Wifie and I were waiting for the weather to clear and go for a ride when we heard on the radio they were giving free 30 minute test rides on them to anyone with a endoesement and closed toed shoes. So we got on the GS and went down to the Keys where they were doing this. Except for the stablity factor and the "cool" factor there's really nothing there for me. Thieir basically a jet ski with wheels or for you folks up north a snowmobile. The look to be a nightmare to work on, their top speed is only 115, their tires are only made by one company, it's a v twin engine under all that plastic (I thought it would be a inline 4), they only get 28 mpg and they cost 16 grand (1500 more for the semi auto transmission).
They wouldn't let my wife ride with me, even though we rode 30 miles to where they were at on 2 wheels down one of the more dangerous roads in the country.  I was so unempressed with the whole package that I didn't even take them up on the ride. I'm sure they are a hoot to ride buy there's more to riding than putting gas in and going. These things are for folks who have different priorities than me.

They're not that fun to ride.  You feel like you're riding a motorcycle, but the handling is neither motorcycle nor car.  Something all it's own and, when you push, the steering gets funky.  If you spend a LOT of time working on it you could probably get it corner almost as well as a bike, but anyone with a 10 year old corvette will eat you alive.  Speaking of corvettes, for what you'd pay for the spyder you could buy an early C5 coupe/6spd and spend $3000 upgrading your GS...but they want $17,000+ here.

color me surprised. i did see a mp3 on the road today. heard it too. sounded fun. :]

MP-3's lean, like a motorcycle.

Totally different animal.   :)

There very nearly the same, but the Spider is lower and wider. 2 wheels in front, one in the rear and they do lean but by the shape of the rear tire (looks just like a car tire) it doesn't appear it leaned too far. It's just made by Bombardier they'll called a Ca Am Spider.

The MP3 was actually fun...really fun...but also WAY overpriced.  You could almost buy a Spyder...

For that pice you could buy a all to common busa and do 3-4k in upgrades to it also. But then again, you could do alot with 17k.  the spider seems like a pavement going snowmobile to me.

And this is what my taxpayer dollars are going for. Wonder if they coulda spared an extra $900 to fix my car due to the decreased patrols in my area. BTW that's where I got my gs500f
Also, why is it that other than a 3/4 helmet and boots motorcycle cops wear no other protection?!?!? I mean at least make a good example!
