Shingles. Drive wooden shingles (soft wedges) in between the fins - don't overdo and break fins. Drive a pair from opposite directions so they apply pressure over a wide area.

If you can crank it over (not seized) you could also put the nuts back on (loosely) and crank it over with plugs in - the compression should lift it. It you don't put the nuts on the compression can send it flying. Or you can use a hollowed out spark plug/compression tester fitting to apply compressed air, even if it won't crank.

ya it runs i rode it for about a year.

thats not a bad idea about compression ill have to figure out how to jump start the starter.  cause the motor is sitting on the floor

dude  -- there is a 9th bolt. It's on the front between the exhaust ports. It bolts UP into the head from the bottom.  Take it out before you whack on the fins any more.

It threw me the first time, too.

^ thanks not sure how i missed that one.

ya i didn't beat on it and i wasn't planning on it turning the motor over and getting compression to pop it off sounded like a decent plan tho

ill check that next week when i go back to work on it

Make sure you removed the copper washers as well. Removing the head with the washers in place can make it difficult. I learned this the hard way :)

Jump starting the starter is easy. There is a big thick wire coming from the starter (sort of directly below where the carbs sit) and that touches the positive side of the battery. Touch the negative (ground) on the engine and away you go!

If it still won't come off... hit front and back with a rubber mallet to jar it loose. But that bolt is probably all that's hanging you up, lol.

^ ya no idea how i missed that but ya know.

should go smooth once i get it off

still super tempted to deck the head alittle bit

You know how to do that? I've done it to a TON of my mopeds and 2-5mm makes a huge difference on a little 50-70cc 2 stroke. I wonder if 4 strokes would be affected the same way.

You may have to run high-test in it. That, and taking too much off = boat anchor. So be careful.

^ im going to have a shop do it no question and im not taking alot of maybe a MM probly less

1mm is not a real mill job. And a deck is neccesary to reseal, heads warp with heat, luckily the gasket can cover that warpage, but you dont want to start a new motor's life with any of the original warpage. Besides, the factory does a lousy job of everything, and the head is no exception.
Cool.
