Hey guys,

I just bought an f model windshield to see if it would look good modded up to the e model headlight.  I'm curious if anyone has done this before and if so what experiences you had with it.  I've never physically seen an F model other than online so I'm not sure if the dimmensions will work, or if it even looks good?

Thanks,

Nick

do you have access to a welder?  I have an idea for how to make it work and look good but youll have to weld up a small frame to bolt the windscreen to.  If you do ill draw you up the plans in paint brush and post it for you here.

Yes I do have a welder, if you find my other post about this project I put on a custom buell subframe on the rear as practice.  Fabing up a frame shouldn't be beyond me but you never know.  I'm all ears!

I was assuming I would need to for it to fit nicely, but like I said I've never seen one in person so I can't even picture the dimensions.

Just by looking at images online, I assumed I would round off the point near the SUZUKI emblem and possibly fab up some side pieces out of sheet metal or fiberglass with the mounting stuff underneath the sheet metal/fiberglass.

Thanks,

Nick

ok i havent had any luck drawing this up but if you can get some 3/16 metal round bar.  we called it seat roll when i built limos.  you can bend it to fit the shape of your windscreen almost perfect with just a bit of heat or in a vice.  then take some 1/8x1 inch flat steal and drill it to bolt your windscreen too. weld those in place on the round frame you already madethen figure out where you want to bolt it to your headlight and handlebars at. now if you weld it up real nice and grind everything nice you could paint the frame black and mount it up and it should look like the windscreen is floating with nothing actually holding it.
