any welders on here? if so, is the field growing? is there room for advancement? would it be a worthy trade to acquire?
finally a homeowner!

sure it would, nice pay, BUT working conditions can be rather meh, get dirty ALL TEH TIME. if you aint dirty, youre unemployed. BUT a good field to get into

Depends on where you live... DONT PAY FOR WELDING SCHOOL. Here in my town we have TONS of welding shops.. alot of them are DOD Work, Humvee parts, etc.

They will hire you and pay for you train in whatever you want, welding, CNC, paint... whatever. Its only like $10 an hr to start, but they have TONS of overtime and you can move up and make $25Hr fast.
My friend I worked w/ at a motorcycle shop left last year, took a job at JWF (the place im talking about they got him trained in like 9 weeks at $10.50 and only a year later he makes $21hr

not a bad careeer but it takes a certain person, you may have to work shifts etc...
