GS 500 for sale/ parts

Hello here.
I am selling my 1989 gs 500, which has a 2006 engine on it. I bought the engine for 1300 last summer and , apparently, it only had 2000 miles on it.

I was riding at the end of the last summer and it started making minor noises. I did not have time to get it checked out. I am selling this bike as is for 1400. If no offers are made I will be parting it out. If any one needs a part please msg and make me an offer.

yes clipons 89 was the only year to come with the clipon style bars

Really?  Pretty amazing that I'd ask him, since he has the exact year model.   Boy, I'm gonna come to you when I need any technical problem solving.   

Let's not limit verbosity then! 
Do you still have your clip-ons, or did you trade them out?  Are they in good shape?  How much would you charge for them?  How much for shipping?  Would they fit into a flat-rate box?  Maybe you'd like to trade something, instead.  Could you put them in your anus and fart them over to NC, to save on shipping? 

Oh, but wait!  He wants to be emailed, doesn't include pictures, and won't bother posting on his own thread.  So, sure, it's a great time to share one's limitless knowledge of motorcycle handlebars.  Thank you, ye gods of teh intertubes.

The clip-ons could be made of platinum and titties, for all I care.  I'm not buying them if he can't bother to talk on the forum like everybody else.  Next thing I know, I'm sending him money and receiving no parts in return.  But, I'M the @$$hole....

if you look at the time he posted it was at 9:26 last night maybe he doesnt get on here until then.  cut him some slack if he doesnt replay to a post then its his lose not yours.  you just dont have to call it a fake because he doesnt post as fast as you think he should.

Two Josh's, each chasing around some guy through email (which may or may not prove to be a scam), and both of them pulling me into a flame war.  
And, one of them using the "dem apples" routine, which is possibly THE most annoying utterance to pass through the lips of a human being.

11 posts and no further communication, except an email address.  I smell scam.  Now, if you fine fellas with your fine communication skills feel obliged to test the waters, then good for you. 
Have you caught on, yet, that I really don't care very much about pictures of clip-ons from someone that I know nothing about?  Someone who's about to ask for a nice chunk of change right before his bills are due this Monday?  I'd rather be wrong about than right, for the sake of the both of you (and probably a few other people trying to buy from him). 


Now, I feel fine with being THAT kind of @$$hole.

the word "@$$hole" may refer to the object itself which is the literal meaning or denotation.

or the word "@$$hole" could refer to other figurative associations such as how it makes wladziu feel, etc...which would be the connotation.

Of course, the only way to prove who's right or wrong (and therefore, the @$$hole) is to actually send him money, based on a few pictures that he emailed to you.  You would have risked a scam just to buy used parts.  So, feel free to let me know.  If I come up as the @$$hole then, I'll be perfectly happy.  And chuckling at the same time, probably.  

I've got some pictures of a Desmo.  I'll sell it to you for $5!  You've got to email me, though.  I don't have time to bother with an internet forum.

If you wanna prove who is the @$$hole, then read the replies  posted here. seems to be proof enough. whether the new guy is a scam or not, i dont know, and im not sure id liek to find out tbh

I asked him if he had credibility on any other sites. He sent me his ebay account name. I checked it on ebay, he had a very good rating with plenty of sales. I then sent him an email thru ebay and told him to reply to me on here. He did. That says something, maybe not enough, who knows.
