Don't mind me I'm just new.

That's a pretty sweet helmet.  Especially like the eyes peeking out the back.
Isn't Kato's crash the one that riders are very upset about?  To the point of boycotting some Suzuka races due to concerns about track safety?

I was watching that race on Speed when it happened.  It was definitely a sad thing to see but they didn't really mention anything about it until later in the day.  He did crash in an unprotected area of the track and I remember there were quite a few riders upset about it but I'm not sure that anyone boycotted.  Very sad, Daijiro Kato had just been blessed with a baby (not sure if boy/girl)

The threatened boycott is true.  Rossi has said something to the effect of "If the track's safety isn't improved, I'll sit out the first round next year."  The FIM has yet to approve Suzuka for 2004-2005 race activity, at least for the MotoGP opener and the 8 Hours.

At no part of the track is a wall more than 50-80 feet from the racing surface.  I wouldn't ride there, even at my low speed.
