I have a 07 GS500F. Do I need to rejet if I buy the yoshi slip-on

no, I don't think so... if you add K & N along with that you do.  I have mine on and haven't rejetted yet.

You really should rejet otherwise you run the risk of burning up a valve, I believe.

I would say yes seeing that a bone stock '07 needs jetting right out of the box.

No, I just put on my TRS Carbon Fiber muffler slip-on couple months ago....did extensive research before and DOES NOT require re-jet....only full exhaust change needs rejet as far as I know

I also read somewhere, can't remember but it was a Suzuki source or something of the same level....and it said to not rejet....I take it, don't rejet if your not doing anything with the system...but if your changing the exhaust and air filter to the ones that require re-jet....then rejet! lol

I drove around a couple of days without a rejet when I first put the TRS on (while I was waiting for the lunchbox to arrive).  I kept the restrictor in and the bike seemed to ride okay (of course unrestricted might be different).

The easiest way for you to work out if you need to rejet is to try it out and a) see if it handles okay over all of the throttle range; and b) check the colour of your spark plugs to see if you are running too lean.

Personally, I would be leaning towards a rejet, on the basis that the bike already comes fairly lean from the factory - but your plugs will give you a good indication.

How do you tell from the spark plugs??
If they are white or black?, what does each colour mean?? Or is there anything else to look for

Tan/light brown is good; white is too lean; dark is too rich.

Pipes, air cleaner, and jetting work as a system.  Only when you change the pipes and filter to less restrictive ones do you need to re-jet.  The flow is only as great as the most restrictive part in the system.
