cheap tinted windshield

Wanted your guys opinions. I have an 07 F model and wanted to black out my windshield without the cost of a  zero gravity or what have you.  I read some people on the forum sand and airbrush the back of the windshield. Do you have to sand? and can I just rattecan it?

There are paints specifically for plastic, if you go to a hobby store you can buy lexan body paint for RC cars, no sanding necessary because it has bonding agents. Plus they have a specific tint color, smoke paint that's still clear.
