You SANDBLAST AND PAINT! 

My grab handle was nicked up from the PO's girlfriend's rings (not THAT grab handle!) so I went in early and took the opportunity to use the sandblasting booth at work:



No more nicks, or yellow paint either.  Time for some gloss black.

After that, I saw that the frame rail that you remove to take out the engine had some rust starting on the ends where it bolts on, as well as on the cross tube in front of the engine, so at lunchtime I took it in the booth as well:



I was going to just blast the rust off, but then I saw a little scratch here, and a little scratch there, so I ended-up doing the whole thing.  20 minutes later, it was gleaming!  The pieces are now being primed.  More pics soon.  Like my matching furniture?  A 1980's entertainment center and Queen Anne table go together great, don't they?

Put the rain cover on my tank bag and keep riding... Maybe switch to waterproof gloves, but I'm normally wearing them anyways if it is cold enough to rain out... All my other gear is waterproof. Oh yeah, I also probably have to put more rain-x on my face shield next time it rains out.

I forgot to mention I'm waiting for a clutch cable, and it's 34 degrees so it keeps going back and forth from rain to snow!    It's not riding weather, not even for die-hards like me.

Alright, I'll give that one to you. Clutchless shifting in the snow and rain doesn't sound like fun at all. Pfft, weather, I'm glad we don't have much of that here. When it does rain, people act as if the sky is falling and stay inside... It actually makes riding a bit easier because there is so much less traffic.

Ya, thrown on the rain gear and go. Hmm, down here in Florida everyone simply forgets how to drive. Last time I rode in the rain it took my 45mins to go four miles. I was livid I don't mind riding in the rain but sitting in the rain is something else. I mean it wasn't even hard but speed limit is 45 and everyone drops to 20mph. Is it just me or when people cross into Orlando all sense of common sense leaves the skull cavity? Just today a car sat at the entire green arrow and took off when it turned yellow  . I was soo pissed cause everyone was blowing and he flipped the bird and then left ARRRRRGGGGG!

Can't wait to try the waterproof gloves that BeerGarage sent me. They fit like a glove. duh yeah they're gloves what would they fit like lol.

I'd second what most of you said, rain gear.  Up where I'm at now, its tough to ride in the rain, between the potholed, pitted, oily roads and the gusting wind, I get blown all over the road.

The 5" of snow we got yesterday nixed any hopes of riding...hope it warms up again soon and for good.  What a sharty winter.
