bad kill switch on my atv. what should i do?

i slod my rt180 2 stroke and bought a busted-ass 99 300ex quad. along with many many other problems(wich will be posted later), the kill switch doesnt work. it doesnt have a key or even an ignition lol. i just roll start it. the kill switch is there but it doesnt work. how does it work and what can i do to fix it? choke wont kill it so i have to put it in 3rd and drop the clutch...not good lol. i have to fix it soon. and i know u arent quad machanics but u guys know alot more than i do!

Check the wiring first.  It sounds like the previous owner may have grounded the wiring to completely bypass the kill switch.  Could be cause they lost the key? lol Im not all that great with bikes or ATVs but logically that sounds right but dont blame me if you go on a wild goose chase because of what I said lol

put you in a little tap to cut the gas off.
Attack but have a back up plan

if it is easy to do, I would take the kill switch off and test it with a multi-meter to see if it is opening/closing the circuit when you push it.

a kill switch is a contact switch. wire it closed if you mist. ( i assume no liability for your injury or if you drop bike and it goes on with out you using the force, i had afro err jerry rigged a kill switch once with a piece of string around thespark plug wire. ( not recmommended)
