The biggest problem with buying a used 600 sport bike is the previous owners.  They're relatively cheap, very fast bikes so you get a lot of people that beat the piss out of them, probably crashed doing something stupid, and so on.

Just my opinion, but I'd be very cautious about buying a sport bike from a younger person or someone who doesn't have plenty of maintenance info or records on hand.

So its official, i am now the owner of a 1999 CBR600F4!  Although i still have my 99' GS...

The CBR feels like the perfect bike for the transition to the sport bike world.  It sits some what up right for a sport bike and it has smooth power.  I must say its weird going from the GS to the CBR, i'm not used to being able to scare myself with power...

I plan to let my girlfriend ride the GS until she buys an SV650 (she is determined to get one).  So i will have a full garage for some time...
99' gs500e w/K&N drop in, 2 washers, Blue LED gauges
02' WRX way to much to list...

Ya know I hear that argument all the time about used 600's yet everybody I know who buys a used one has no problems. Sportbikes are pretty easy too look at and tell if they've been thrashed.

Congrats on the F4 you're 4 generations back from the current 600rr but that's okay have fun with it. I hated the carbs was my problem. You would have found the throttle response better and smoother in a F4I yep injection makes a big difference.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.
