At home or in their shops?  As for their shops, I live in Podunk.  We have neither.  A couple of gas stations have decent brews and their refills are $.65-$.89 when you bring your own cup.  I go to whichever is closest--DAILY, SOMETIMES TWICE!

I do like some of Starbucks brews for home (particularly the Serena Organic Blend), and rumor has it one of our local grocery stores is carrying Dunkin Donuts brand coffee.  I'll have to get back to you on that though!  :thumb:

Porkchop

I'd take Dunkin Donuts coffee over Starbucks but neither can beat McDonald's coffee.

Dunkin donuts all the way ... McDonalds is crap, they're trying too hard to be Starbucks, their coffee essentially tastes just as crappy and is 25 cents cheaper.
OK forget it, I never get coffee from any of these places, its caramel cappucchino all the way ... and DD is way better, like their name says, they are a DD cup, starbucks is a A- cup. Not even close.
Cool.

A month ago, I finally had the opportunity to try Dunkin Donuts coffee.  Both I and my traveling companion, also a Dunkin Donuts virgin, were disappointed.  To our disappointment, we both found our DD coffee to be too weak.

Starbucks has the strong flavor aspect down.  Unfortunately, I think you taste the heavy roasting of the beans rather than the beans themselves.

I give Dunkin Donuts a C- and Starbucks a B-.

Starbucks is burnt. I think I always get an extra shot of espresso in the DD, and one of the locations I go to give em free ... not 50 c.
Caribou coffee in charlotte has a different neat trick ... they leave some grounds in the coffee, strong till you get a few grains in your tounge.
I dunno, of this lot, I like DD.

My all time favorite is Tully's, not had since 2001 in SFO.
Second comes the Sam Mart - yes gas station in Charlotte which had a self serve espresso machine. Insanely cool.
Third is Seattle's best - only 1 store in charlotte in a borders in Northlake mall which is already starting to die out.
Fourth is DD IMHO just get extra espresso ...
5th is caribou and dilworth coffee house (tied for 5th due to 2 different reasons).
Cool.

DD's any day.

Too many wanna-be's in Starbucks and the coffee tastes like S-H-I-T.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

Oh flavia machines make decent coffee if you put the right kind of packet in it.
I love The sumatra (ironic cos my wife's name is sumitra) and she loikes columbianm though she is yet to try the italian or the one that is called intense dark roast.
Sumatra is rated 5 though I think its stronger tasting than ones like that intense dark that is rated 7.
I like very rich and intense coffee but lighter roasts, she likes a bit darker roast but less intense coffee beans. So I really really really really hate starbucks and she only really really hates it.
BTW the starbucks are closing cos well, there is too many of them to be a successful model now. The mom and pop's I hope are not stupid enough to flood the market with mom and pop coffee shops. I think that whole coffee shop atmosphere is over rated. Coffee is mostly a morning drink, and who has the time in the morning to sit and drink one enjoying the atmosphere. The afternoons well, people dont drink coffee.
I'd say a place geared to throughput should catch 90% of the business and cost under 10% of a damn starbucks. AKA espresso kiosk drive through only n major roads. set up in a mall parking lot, have a dozen sumiltaneous cup capacity machine and crank em out. Close up ~11 am. You're good.
All I can say is, we need to get a GS500 equipped espresso machine and we're good. Forget red green's lawnmower coffee machine. GS500 coffee machine.
Cool.

Alright...Tim Hortons (or Timmies, as the locals like to call it)

Though, I honestly like stronger tasting coffee.  I like to try the local cafes and stands.  Support the local community.
