finally working on my gs conversion. so far so good. Taking it from naked to faired, its not so hard jhoffy8 sold me the fairings (fast and cheap great deal). Danny from hillcrest suzuki orders parts i need (screws, bolts, etc. headlight)  got my windscreen. I am finding it fun and not so hard as I've been told. I love working on the gs its a great bike. Now Im buying a Gixxer as well so my gs will be a beast when im done but it wont compare to my new bike. anyways the lack of info about swapping e to f everywhere on the net ill figure it out. if anyone has tips please let me know? I will try and post pics soon.

It can be done, nobody ever denied that, did they?
It's just not too exciting as we all know that naked is a lot better :icon_mrgreen:

You need to change a few bits and bobs on the rear frame (comparison of the 2: http://www.gs-500.info/index.php?title=Heckrahmen_der_GS_Modelle) if you want to go all the way.
If you want to keep the tail as it is and just swap the petrol tank and attach front fairing, that should be possible as well. For tank see: http://www.gs-500.info/index.php?title=Umbau_des_Tankes_auf_GS_500F

Sorry, the pages haven't been translated yet.

However if you do a decent photo documentation and write up, both wikis would benefit from that (hint hint).
Good luck!
A bad day on the bike is better than a good day in the office.
