Could somebody tell me where I can find printable gauge face for tachometer? Original or custom.

Toogoofy317

Nice job! :thumb:

On the carbon fiber I did that about 4-6 months ago took it off on Thursday due to it already peeling! Granted I live in Florida and it has been at least 93 every day for the past month!

Just thought I'd let you know!

Bought new digital gauge. Koso DB01R. Small and pretty and good specs.

Does anybody have a clue how to install tacho wires?
Wiring diagram is on the right on first page: http://digitalspeedos.co.uk/DB01.pdf.

Not a clue but can't hear how it turns out.  :thumb:

Almost done now. It was simple job after all. Now only problem is that the neutral light won't work on new meter. Tested old wires with bulb and it worked correctly. Now it only flashes and only when i put right-hand turn indicator on. Is there any good reason for that? All wires are connected right.

JB848

Well, I can only guess but it sounds like you have a hidden short in one of the wires. Prolly close to the end connections?  :thumb:

I've been thinking something like 125cc Cagiva Mito's Ducati stylish top fairing:

Well when you find one someone is parting out, let me know! I've been wanting one of those tails for quite a while now. I could make a mini version of the classic GSXR1100 streetfighters that have the ducati tail, since the GS frame looks like a mini slingshot frame. I keep an eye out on ebay for cheap ducati tails, but i know it would look huge on the GS.

I know you already bought a new tach, but incase you decide to switch to the old one again... There's a thread a little while back about pulling apart the tachometer. It was filled with a bunch of people flipping out about tampering with a tach, and then at the very end someone finally explained that you can pull the cover off if you pry it a little at a time around the top cover where it meets the case. My first bike had the same thing. The tach needle just bounced around at the bottom of the guage not even connected anymore. After I sold the bike to my cousin he pulled it apart and got it working fine.

I like the look of the rims but I wouldn't want to have to be the one to keep them clean.  I had polished rims on a car once and I had to keep them polished or they would oxidize and look like crap.  I have enough chores without having to polish my car wheels every couple of weeks.

I opened my tacho and it seems that the magnet wheel insinde is dead. So it's lost. There were some metallic crap inside that has warmed up magnet and made it dead. Wheb magnet warms up too much, it loses magnetic field.

I use Autosol Chrome polish (forbidden in EU, too powerful) and car wax. Wheels keep shining and won't oxidize.

New digi-meter. Took two days to make it work but was worth of it. Big loooove with my new gadget... :kiss3:

Looks good.  I thought the gauges would be too small, but it looks fine from here.

Dominators bought! I get them on bike tomorrow or next monday.  :woohoo: Can't wait. They are my sixth headlamps so far.

I thought you already had dominators? What are the chrome dual lights on the first page? I personally love dual headlights, but I know they're not for everyone. On the right bike, and if done properly, I think bikes look awesome with dual lights stacked vertically, but they usually have to be stepped back a little, and have to be projectors.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing it with the new lights, I think it'll be an improvement.

I had chrome dominators but I sold them. Too shiny. I think black dominators will look good on my dark blue bike.. New ones are with H7+H4 bulbs so it's nice improvement, old chrome ones were double H4's.

And my present headlight is warming up pretty much with H4, it's originally designed for HS1 bulb. When its coming fall, I prefer more lightpower than looks. Maybe xenonlights next.

yeah, they're way too high, drop them down about 3 inches. I know it looks clean with the way they butt up against the bottom of the speedo and hides the cables, but still, it'll even out the front of the bike. Maybe try making a little buell cityX screen to cover if the space bugs you.

Right over the bottom triple clamp is the sweet spot
