Chokstick

Hi Everyone!!

So, I've recently added a new slip-on exhaust and rejeted the carbs.  I've encountered some problems.

When going to start the bike, it has problems catching.  Its takes some effort to get it started.  In addition to that, there seems to be something wrong with my choke.  Opening it up doesn't help the starting.  Actually, when the bike does get going, opening up the choke doesn't appear being doing its job.  Opening it open anywhere past half causes the bike to stall.  I've checked the choke cable, and it is in fact manipulating the 'choke slide' on the carbs.  Once it does get going and warms up, then it starts up just fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

fred

You've got some kind of mixture problem. Most likely cause is a poorly adjusted float...
