i've got a set of 89 clip-ons on my bike.  i also just received a set of the ebay napoleon bar-end mirror knockoffs (which actually seem to be pretty decent quality at half the price). the outside end of the clip-on bars have the flange welded in and currently have the screw-in type bar end weights installed.  i was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to flip the bar around?  is the other end of the bar open and able to accept standard bar-ends?  i feel like there was a notch or a hole or something in one of them on the throttle side that would prevent me from doing this, but it's been so long since i put them on i can't remember.

thanks,
dan

You can cut the rubber thingy short. or use arubber washer and screw it into the threded insert.
Flipping the bar will mean you have to mill that slot in the weighted end, and that slot will get in the way of the press in anyway.

And, welcome back jiggersplat

Yea I am now the buddha ... lameo ... but its helping me act less violent ... beatings have gone down 20% since I attained buddha status. or state ... or statehood. No clue ...

yeah, been busy with other stuff lately, got married and moved... not much time (and no garage anymore) for bike projects.

and while beatings may have gone down, i see the level of rambling however, has remained constant  :D

i guess i'll hack the press-fit mounting tab off the mirrors and screw them in.
