Just a quick one (ooh err Mrs!)  I've had to order a new OEM tachometer cable.  The 'cheapo' pattern one I bought to replace the broken original turns out to be ever so slightly too long.  Not really a problem, but when the forks compress over bumps or when braking, the cable hits the top of the front mudguard and fork brace.  it took me a month to realise what the noise was coming from the front - I thought the forks were bottoming out!

There was another post on the merits of OEM vs Pattern bike cables, so I'm throwing my twopenny's worth in and suggesting that go for OEM everytime!  The shop I ordered the OEM part from said they never sell Pattern parts because of their variable quality.
