I've seen post about people installing the Katana 600 rear shock, I want to know if the Kat 750 rear shock will fit just as easily?
Here is an example of the shock I'd like to install.

It should fit as far as the shock goes but you will need to find a place to mount the res. I installed a kat 600 shock with no res and it was a direct swap.that may be better for you yours is a bit overkill for street use.

Thanks for the quick response, I'd like to install a Kat 600 rear shock, but I'm having trouble finding one that isn't over 10 years old. I've been able to find a couple newer kat 750's thats why I asked. I figured it would be overkill, but if I cannot find a newer kat600 shock I might just have to use a 750 rear shock...

How much did the Kat600 rear shock raise the height of the bike?

It does fit and work well, but it aint worth no 250.
100 max, more like 75.
Its good, but not that good. Buy a GSXR shock, it will really pick up the back end ...
I'll find one and test it and sell ya that one for 1/2 the 249 he wants for this.
I'd also find, open, test and sell ya a katana 600 shock like joshr08 is selling for 40 bucks. Heck buy that, it should work good, and no reservoir problems, great shock.
Cool.

Oh 10 years old, forget it, nothing I have was made after 1995. Neither is Joshr08. Yea you dont want nothing over 10 years old. it all turns to crap at that 10 year mark.

I thought the 750 required shaving a little of the linkage to make it fit.....or at least the later year shocks.
No GS yet......waiting for friend to give it back......
Currently on Suzuki Boulevard M50

All shocks that have the adjuster dial in the clevise need shaving of the linkage. In fact the katana 750 may be the worst of them. It has the shortest clevise of the lot if I would venture a guess.
GSXR pre 95 had plenty of room that you can get away with shaving with a dremel tool. The kat ones literally you need a saw or a angle grinder and go to town on it.
This is one more of those dead end tasks I do. Sit there and grind till I turn blue and then I would give it free with shock. Only to have 3 of them disappear (when they were supposed to send me back the stock linkage in exchange) ... see if I care, I dont even have GSXR shocks any more and screw you if you  want a shaved linkage, I'd hit you for a 20 and shipping and only do your linkage.
