Hey guys,
i am not much of a mechanic so i will do my best to ask this the right way.

My Gs500 is leaking oil out of the breather hose on the very top of the engine. any idea what is causing this and how can it be fixed?

Thanks

yea i am sure its oil, and its alot of it. after riding for like 10 minutes my shoe was covered.  my brother is a bit of a mechanic and he says it could be "excessive blow-by" and i am not entirely sure what he means

Which bit of a mechanic is he??

........try a compression test.

Have you checked the oil level? Is it high or low? Does it smell like gasoline?
