ok so my bike is on its center stand and the float gasket it angled like / but only at a slight angle. should my float level be at the top of the angle, bottom of the angle, or inbetween? also what are the symptoms of a slightly high float level? Also does anyone know where i can get a bolt with threads that will go into the bottom of the gas tank?

http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm if your in the us

http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/shop/index.php/parts/index.html if your in the uk- just enter part number from alpha sports website.

personally i would take the other bolt to your local hardware store and see if they can match it

the only advise i can offer regarding the float heights, all i do is take off carbs, tilt them just until they touch the needle and messure with a steel rule sitting squarely/flush with the middle of carb body (where float bowls sit) to the middle of highest point on the float-the middle in my case,2002gs.checked mine yesterday, they were 12mm 1mm shorter than required, but didnt want to muck about with them for the sake of 1mm

if thats of any help to you mate
