That rear fender..thing is annoying... It looks like the little transmitter robot from Transformers caught on to the back end.

Yeah it ruins the bike

have you guys ever seen GS500 BEFORE fendercotomy??
I guess not :icon_neutral:

you guys did a good job bashing my opinion, but didn't I say that IF I was going to buy the bike it would be A) used B)in about 2-3 years??
by then the bugs will be worked out a little and the price will significantly go down ;)

PS. I still like the yellow theme  :thumb:

There are three Yamahas in the garage, and there used to be a fourth - an FZ6.  The FZ6R is simply a cheaply made bike, no matter whose logo is on it.

If you want a fun, comfy, and practical standard I-4 with fairing, you're far better off with a second-gen FZ6 with lowers.  It's a better-made bike - with a bigger tank and better componentry, it's still lighter.  Look at the two next to each other (the local dealership was kind enough to oblige), and the differences jump out.  And you can buy one used.... just about now.   8)

I have no doubt that the FZ6R is going to sell well.  After all, Kwak put a pretty fairing on the '08 ninja twofiddy, and it suddenly sold like hotcakes.  People like pretty fairing.  That doesn't mean it's a good bike.

I never argued with your opinion that it's pretty.  De gustibus non est disputandum.

Uhhh, only bought the GS500 because it was reliable, CHEAP, good on gas, CHEAP, not Chinese, and CHEAP. (This website helped...) Had money been no object then Ducati or Triumph.........

I wonder if the Fischer MRX is for real cause if I were to pick a 650cc upgrade for around 7-8 grand it would have to be the MRX cause it's a real looker of a bike.

The FZ6r looks good in person.  They will sell well.   Kinda on the heavy side but not terribly so.
Attack but have a back up plan
