So I ordered my Laser Deeptone Exhaust from Foster RAD (out of NY) Wed. and it it arrived on Friday... However I was visiting a friend up at college on the other side of the state - so I didn't get to put it on until today! Oh man.. I think the GS lost 25 lbs. The stock exhaust was mighty heavy and the Laser Deeptone is a whopping 5 lbs or so.
The install was fairly straightforward.
Here are some pics:

Took it for a short spin and it sounds good.. However, tomorrow I will take out the dB killer!  :icon_twisted:

:D :D :D :D :D :D  you have made a great choice.. and when you take out that dB killer..  holy mother of god...      you will never never go below 5k rev.. this thing sounds sooo good at high revs.     you will not regret it.

this thread is ABSOLUTELY worthless without a sound clip  ;) ;) ;)
(just make sure to place camera about 2 or 3 meters/yards away from the bike when recording - much better quality, otherwise the sound will be very distorted)

can't wait to hear that beast!

PS Great choice - LASER deeptone was my favorite exhaust when I was searching for one, but waaaay to expensive that's why I got Leo Vince and customized the midpipe - much cheaper that way and still sounds great, in my opinion.

Yep.. just take it easy.. its the one on the bottom.  u can use a small size metal drill bit.. then go larger if it doesnt pop out.

According to the factory, it makes more power with the dB killer IN.  Just FYI before you start drilling.

When I read the subject, I thought you went on a diet... I'm glad the thing sounds good and the bike runs well, but trying to make the GS loose weight is like trying to make a mack truck lighter. You can do it, but what's the point? The motor alone weights like 150 pounds dry...

dry is no good!! its gotta be wet,

that way you can break out the flour and look for the wet spots!

thats when you know a diet is in order

FosterRAD hooked me up on this exhaust.. I got it for $420 shipped to my door. I can't promise that they will let it go that cheap for anyone else.. but you never know! Sounds clips will come.. I am in the middle of moving so it has been very hectic here.

P.S. I took out the dB killer.. OH MYYYYYY!!!  :icon_mrgreen:

OH MYYYYYY!!!  as in too loud.... wake the neighbors up loud..... or damn that sounds good loud......

not too much for long rides though right, i know some car exhausts can get a droning sound that can be very annoying on a road trip
