I don't leave my saddle bags on. They just get put on when I'm going on a trip or to Wal-Mart. I always do it going to Wal-Mart even if it's for a half gallon of milk because it then turns into $50 of stuff LOL!

I've had the bags going on two years no wear marks on the bike at all. When I went to St. Augustine with them loaded with clothes I didn't adjust the shock and Flick rode fine. I really don't notice any wind drag because they are pretty well lined up with my fairing so no buffeting.
