Dipstick Thread Pitch

Can somebody tell me what the pitch of the threads on the dipstick are. I have a friend with a V-Max and he swapped out his dipstick for one that displays oil temp. His sister sent it to him from Germany so it's in Celsius but his bike was imported from Japan so his speedo is metric as well...I'm getting sidetracked...anyways, I want to know if I can get the same one or do I need to get a different size. The next time I see him I could try to screw it in to my bike. That might be the easier thing to do. Sooo, if you know the pitch, or maybe have a special dipstick already be sure to reply!!!
