The last figures I saw online had the GS at about 39.8HP and 25lbs. torque.  The Ninja 250 was about 25/12.5.  The GS made the bulk of it's power between 7-10k RPM, with the 250's was from 10k to it's redline.  

It seems like it would be nerve wracking to have to rev to 14k to merge onto the highway.

0-60: 4.5-5.5 sec
1/4 time: 13.68@98mph
60-0: dont know but the GS brakes are excellent. Definatley below 90feet.

They were more off then I thought, but 0-60 is damn close nd 1/4 is about a sec slower. Coulda been wrong, but you'll never hear it from me. :guns:

Those performance #'s for the GS can be broken easily.
Im gonna get flamed for this, but the latest #'s I recoreded ( a month ago, I do this every 4 weeks or so) were 0-60 in 4.00 flat (a little under)
and a quarter mile of 13.00@106mph. I may be an idiot, but im damn sure thats what I ran. Well thast what i was clocked at.

Rich, is your bike completely stock?  The numbers listed above are for stock bikes.  Rejetting, exhaust, different gearing, and other factors can dramatically inprove one's times.
