Buy another bike.   ;)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

You can spend several hundred bucks on gearing the bike up, an aftermarket exhaust, filter pods, and a re-jet of the carbs and you'll pick up 3-4 HP.  Will that make you go much faster?  Nope.  The biggest speed aid on this bike is a fairing.  You'll go 10 mph faster with one until you get killed by a housewife on the phone who pulls out as you whiz by.

Your best bet for going fast is usually to put on a spandex 1zy like guys on bicycles. It reduces the drag. Shave your legs as well.

and for the record, I'm picking on guys in spandex with shaved legs, not you.

Got the best mod ever. Take your gas cap move it to a newer faster bike and call it a heavily modified GS500F, you'll save yourself a lot of time money and effort and still have a faster bike than you could possibly hope to achieve with standard mods on the GS500.

+1 all the above!
My only other suggestion would be to take it skydiving.
