I just got the Cortech Sport Saddle and Tail Bags and I was just wondering who else has their bike set up for touring.  Also with the saddle bags I was wondering where you guys attached the 4 loop things that the bag clips into to keep it secure.  I'm heading out on a 1300 mile (650ish each way) trip next week so I'm just working on getting everything set up.

I looked online a little, it looks like some states have street legal atvs, some don't, but most of the ones I saw looked like the last one posted, a bit too much like they're trying to turn a quad into a formula one race car. I'd be cool with a normal looking quad just with the light, even with the offroad tires. I know I'd have to be careful taking turns at speed, but this wouldn't be a vehicle I'd cruise around on just for the fun of it, I'd just used it when I expect my traction not to be good enough for 2 wheels, and if that's the case, I wouldn't be taking turns fast anyway.

I set mine up to be a comfortable ride for my wife and I. I added a higher wind shield, mapping GPS, put a larger back tire on, bar risers and made a rack and sissy bar. What I have left is hard sided saddle bags or tour master bags. The bags on it in the pic are bags for touring bicycles but they have serverd their purpose over the last 2 years. When we do trips together they tuck under the seat and I can use the saddles for storage. The last thing I want to do is reupolstering the seat with gel pads and memory foam. We've done many day trips of up to couple hundred miles and some weekend trips of 3 hundred or more. We're taking it in 16 days for a week in the mountians of Tn and NC and hope to cover a thousand miles to no where on it there.
