sprocket compatability

Anyone know if front sprockets from other bikes, say the gsxr for example, will fit on the GS?

I'm struggling....can't find the front sprocket on ronayers. And how do you go about 'cross referencing'?

you copy the part number then on the front page put it in the what does this part fit.  i checked and it only fits the gs according to them.  its in the transmission listing.  i had a bit of trouble finding it as well.

There are a few other bikes that use the same sprockets as the GS regardless of what they say, If trying to compile a list right now then Im gonna post it on my parts compatibility thread. It might be another day or two. sorry Ive been busy

Just a quick look over the part numbers, and this is just AFAM. Rears, have a few matches also.

AFAM  Part number 453-1029XX (the XX represents the number of teeth ranging from 14 to 18, 17 on other brands) AFAM is the only one I've found so far with the 18. What will be interesting for us that use the GS to comute is to find a smaller rear, along with the larger front, can you say cruising at 3500... lol

All bikes given if not 520 chain, this would be the part number to convert to 520 chain, which should mean the sprocket still fits.
