I just bought a 92 Gs.  I'm looking to do some body mods.  Is it possible to put a 01/02 tail piece on a 92 (seat also)?  If so how do I get ahold of those pieces?

It's been brought up before and the concensus is that it won't work without major work. The mounting points for the plastics changed for 01/02 and you would have to build something to mount the pieces to.

what cas said. I have an 01 and I've compared mine to a 96 (both had bodywork removed) and the central mounting points are different, seat is different, seat lock is totally different, tank is different and is depressed to accept seat, taillight is different but mounts same.

Lots of mounting work.

Woner if an R1 tail would actually be more practical?

oh well.  Any other suggestions.  I'm getting a paint job this winter,  I was also thinkin' abount new mirrors and bars.  I'm gonna shorten the signal stalks and cut the fender.  Don't think I'm gonna paint the wheels.  Possibley new forks.  Gotta buget myself though.  I like the super sleek look of some of the gs' I've seen on this site, but I'm far from that.
