Hello all,

After the fiasco with my exhaust bolts, I was finally able to get the head back on yesterday and I worked on timing the engine today. (Tough to do in 90+ degrees at 7:00pm. 100+ heat index! Geeeesh!) Anyway, I noticed as I was checking the valve clearances, that the rear (intake) cam did not have a side load shim and there was side to side movement (qutie more than I expected.) The front one is there and I suspect the other is either lost or down in the oil pan from the previous owners work.

Either way, does anyone know if this is a single / standard thickness shim? I looked on bike bandit and saw the shims listed but couldn't tell the difference in the sizes listed. (I only glanced and inted to look more closely.)

Any suggestions? How should I check what size I need to replace? Am I overlooking this in the manual?

If it drifts less than 1 mm, you're screwed.
1mm is huge, it will make a racket.
Cool.
