After the "used" motad Nexxus exhaust, twin headlight now fitted - bit of a "streetfighter look on a budget" bike. Headlight was £20, brand new. Add in a couple of £s for some electrical spade connectors and shorter mounting bolts and hey presto:

No modification required. Removed old headlight, removed side mounting brackets and turned them upside down - this gave me the exact space to match the new headlight!

Just need to tidy up area under light now. Have kept original indicator mounts for now, but can see that may change.....

Light came with 3 wires attached so just added spade connectors to them so it connects directly to the standard headlight connector. That way it can be reverted to "normal" without any major trouble. Bottom light is dip, top is main, both for Pass/Flash

Well, I'm dead pleased  :icon_mrgreen: with it anyway - K&N Lunchbox (£38 brand new via ebay!) and new jets (£5)arriving next week.......  Jack up kit (£15)possibly on order too....

I bet the easiest way to clean up under the headlight, so to flip the brackets so it drops the headlight down a couple inches, and come up with a cheap flyscreen that goes from the top of the headlight and just covers the speedo and tach, and just paint it orange and black.

I'd like to install some double headlights someday, but at the moment have absolutely no clue how electrical systems work, so unless I found some headlights that just plugged right into the original wires, I'd be hesitant to try.

Yeah, might see how it looks with bracket flipped back - only thing is wil  then need spacers as the bracket is cranked so the fixing holes will be wider apart then. Just hadnt got any at the time and wanted to see how the headlight looked!

The wiring of this was so simple - it had 3 wires attached to it which corresponded to the 3 connectors on the headlight socket. Just added spade connectors and they plugged straight in.

Yeah, I'll check it out while I have mine apart, it's probably not as bad as I think. As far as your brackets, you'd need spacers if you flipped them but kept them on the same sides, but if you take the one on the left side and put it on the right, and the one on the right side to the left, they would stay the same distance apart.

aint it always the simplest solutions that are the most effective. Swapped the left and right brackets and it looks far better now! Have got an old tool roll that may just fit now above the headlight to blank that space.

Thanks for pointing out the friggin obvious to me!! LOL
