Wheel Bearings (Trying to decide if replacement is needed.)

Hello All,

I am working to get my bike up and running. I have noticed that the previous owner had neglected the bike for quite some time (surprise!) and there has been a lot of grease, oil, and dirt / sand accumulation. I have cleaned most of this off starting work on the front end but now I am nearing the rear of the bike and working on the swingarm  and rear wheel.

I removed the rear wheel to clean it up and replace the tire (thanks to Ineedanap for the tires!) and there was a Pant Load of grease packed in the rear wheel. I have not inspected the bearings to closely but I can't seem to determine if they are sealed or open.

They seem to spin very well but since I have cleaned the wheel with a pressure sprayer, (while off) the grit and grease has moved between the bearing edges and the spacer.

So here are my questions:
Should I have a dust seal (rubber) over the outer surface of the bearings? (Did not find any that I have noticed.)
Should I simply plan to remove the bearings and throw some new ones in just because? (Bike has about 21k miles on the clock.)
What is the best online source for bearings (Front and rear.)
