seems like everytime i turn on the tv, pick up a newspaper or magazine it's saturated with michael jackson. jeez, let's give it a rest shall we?
i mean he was an entertainer(?) right? he didn't cure cancer, design a 100mpg engine, brew an acceptable $3 a six pack beer- so it would be nice to sorta keep it in proportion.

I'm not a big MJ fan but I take the good with the bad.  Creative music artist - Good.  Raising millions of $$ for charity good.  Abusing pain killers - Bad.  Plastic surgery - Bad.  Touching little boys - Very Bad.

I heard that every network station will be tuning in to the service today. Thank God nothing important is going on in the world! At work on Saturday before the O'jays concert that played MJ music for two hours. Where in the hell was my gun. I cried only because my eardrums had begun bleeding!

But, I was pulled for FireWork duty and got to sit right under the fire works best seat in the house even though I did have to wear a Hard Hat LOL!

For people who love music and are in the music industry It was a big deal he influenced every genre weather they know it or not. just watching the memorial was sad every time we see the commercial me and my wife say babe he gone, I loved his music I'm not just one of the fans that are playing him now that he is dead In my 6 disc cd changer in my explorer it has 2 burned MJ cds with all his great songs and that's way before he died. Give the guy some respect, was he a pedophile no one knows they have no proof but what people say he had a crapload of money and those families needed money put one and one together and that's a good way to get money. So like I said give the man some respect our music and music videos and even live shows would not be the same today if he didn't push the envelope.

See I'm not a bad person as far as the bday thread goes like I said never met her and she has done nothing for me. now MJ has impacted my music career and even when he will be long gone will still be a great influence.
Jserio everyone likes different music as do you but im sure the people you listen to were impacted by MJ in someway shape or form.
BTW I had the chance to meet MJ a long time ago but his guards pulled him in his car before he got to us  but he seemed like a fan loving guy he knew if it was not for his fans he would not be who he was.

Yeah, I'm completely not amused by celebrities, I wouldn't recognize a single athlete if I was sitting next to one. I barely even like music, and most often can't stand musicians, but I'm pretty bummed about the situation. I have just every album he made on tape, cd, and record(except that last one ), and don't think I've ever gotten tired of listening to him. I'll admit I've slowed a little in the past years when he started to go downhill, but what can you expect from one of the biggest musicians of all time who never even got to have a childhood. Of course he's going to seem weird, and of course he's not going to know what most people consider proper behavior around other kids, that guy never experienced most of it, so while I can understand why people thing he's weird, that's definitely not how I'll remember him. As far as a celebrity taking over the news, I understand why it's a huge deal even if I don't care much about musicians and bands. Now the whole Anna Nicole Smith thing, THAT didn't need to take over the news.

Self destruction should not be glorified as her death was. MJ did have drugs in his system but the guy wanted to sleep insomnia sucks i know people who have and its hard to deal with they have to take sleeping pills to get some rest, people say he was addicted to painkillers but I dont think so he was 50 and not getting any younger all his stage stuff and dancing took a toll on his body now he was going to do a 3yr tour that a lot of pain. I play drums for my band and it tiring and your body feels the aftermath right after the show once the adrenaline goes away. I have neck issue and lower back pain and when ever I come across PK I take them as often as I feel the pain.

Yeah, there's nothing else important going on, just that awful cap and trade bill that passed the house that no one's paying attention to.

It will double our utility bills and drive any remaining manufacturing jobs that rely on cheap electricity, gas, and coal overseas if it gets through the Senate.  It will cost every family $3000 more each year, and $6000 per year after five years, not counting the job losses.  Call your Senators while you still have a job and can pay your electric and gas bills.  This is no    We can't afford this bill.
