OK so far I have tried, nation wide, state farm, geico, progressive etc etc.

If the insurance guy does not ask for mileage per year on the policy, it is likely that its high and likely that your second bike costs the same as the first.

If you're riding 1 bike 20K a year, you add a second bike, obviously you would run 40K a year ...  >:(

State farm and nationwide use that logic to price the policy, so you're dinged for 2 X the exposure.

Progressive - I am unable to decode it, but it seems to be doing that same pricing logic but applying a 20-40% discount or somehting like that. In CA they do it correctly. They sorta split it in the ratio of the miles ridden per year or some weird math like that. Also progressive's online quoting software does no discounting period, so you buy it online you're getting ripped off.

Geico - dont quite know what they did, but First bike was 105, second was 40 and third was 70 - I am still of the opinion they had my quote wrong. They had 2 maxim's in there and skipped the savage 650 I had asked for. So instead of Max, GS, savage, it was max, GS, max.

Some how the first bike went from 125 to ~115 with addition of the GS, and 105 with the savage.
I should really play with mileages and what not and see how it matters - its a bit more complex than first try ...

Anyway just to post back and let y'all know, Looks like I am going to save a lot of $ by switching to geico.

ReallY? I pay $115 a year for my 1990 and I am 42 been "m" classified on my liciense since that year.

I use Rider Insurance of NJ and they offer free roadside assistance and free towing within 30 miles. Does yours "Geico" offer those benifits?

I'm 40, M/c licnsed for 16 years+ not the greatest driving record, great credit and I bully them into doing all they can ... like I'd say I do cars and house with them ... and I dont care for RSA ... I want multi bike to the tune of 90% of the cost of the first one. Really need that ... dont care for much else.

OK the worthless garbage POS Gecko rates bikes only based on CC, so a 87 savage 650 (total POS cruiser that is incapable of getting into any trouble except failure to get out of its own way ... or braking or turning ... ) is more $$ than a GS ...

Ergo, only CC counts for those Idiots. So a GS is 43 a year, an savage is 70 a yr. Useless crap.

Wow you guys pay way too much, 2003 954RR FULL coverage with $250 deductibles for us is $254 year. The gecko does not price strictly based on CC any 1000 cc cruiser for me with Geico was gonna be $120 year liability, a sportbike was $1200 for the same coverage when they quoted me, pretty close to the same for progressive. God the GS was like $17 year for liability with state farm.

My 07 F150 her 08 Mustang GT my 954RR her 600F4i theft on both the dirtbikes $257 a month $100,000/$250,000/$100,000 limits and $250 deductibles. Believe it or not the truck is $40/month or $480/yr more than her GT is to insure.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

JB848

What a ripoff all the way around. I need to find a cheaper insurance next year. My driving record is spotless and at 42 I pay that much? Just ain't right if you ask me.

Depends on your state ... mine is ruled by a senile pedantic and ugly ass Beeeeyatch ... and sorry not Hillary, Beverly Perdue.

BTW her approval rating dropped from 62 to 25 in 6 months, and deservedly so.

Yea, what a freaking bobble head ... Its difficult to sound smart with the damn southern drawl, but she takes airhead to a whole new low.

Yea and, health reform, I cannot wait for that to shaft me in ways I never even dreamt of. Its gonna be implemented at the federal level and the states will add their shafts ... or add the spikes to the shaft.

Someone oughta tell Obama the damn election is over, and he can relax and govern, and he doesn't have to get the public rallied about every POS proposal he drafts. Mean while somneone oughta put a trash bag over Bev Perdue and drop her in the ocean. BTW I know several peope who voted for her just because she was not Pat McCrory. That can be the name on the trash bag too. Not McRory. That was a worthless but well dressed and spoken dirt bag ... so truly we had a choice of dirt bag vs air bag. We chose air bag.
The federal govt had a choice of old, pro gun, anti abortion, commie vs young, anti gun, pro abortion, commie.

I think they lie when they need to get elected. Then they become dangerous when they start believing their own lies.
