Hello All

I have an '04 GS500f and am going to replace the fuel hoses with the Tygon lines. From what I understand, the tank petcock is 5/16" and the frame petcock is 3/8".

Should I get the 3/8 ID line and clamp it down on the tank, or get 5/16 ID line and stretch it on to the frame petcock?

Not sure which way to go.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

if you get the 5/16 you wont have to worry about clamping anything down

yeah, go with the 5/16  its easier to stretch it over the larger nipple than it is to clamp it down to fit the smaller nipple

I used 5/16" polyurethane line on my 97, and I need clamps at the tank or it leaks. No leaking at the frame mounted petcock, though. The next time I replace the lines, I may try wrapping the nipples on the tank petcock with teflon tape to get it to seal without hose clamps.
