They are lockhart phillips and they were a direct replacement.  No modification necessary.

Looks great , love the seat! :thumb: All yo need is some of those mirrors with the turn signals on them.

yuk i hate those, use katana mirrors..i did.  so where did you get the seat cover? too much white for me but i still like it and would like to get on for my gsf.  woodcraft rearsets would also look awesome as well as a 89 triple and clip ons

The seat is just covered in vinyl.  I bought the  vinyl at a fabric store and stapled it on myself.  The next money I spend is gonna be for more horsepower.  Mirrors will have to wait.

I tried the grill mod today and it didn't go so well.  I finally gave up.  I did draw some inspiration the other night from the black is beautiful post and screened in the area around the petcock to hide the hoses.  The bike in that post is one of the sickest gs's I have seen.  Chef helped me out with some info on painting my levers.  I found some carbon fiber ones I like but painting is a cheaper alternative.  I painted mine metallic blue.  We will see how that holds up.

Hey FrankieG, quick question.  On the Katana mirrors you used, did you still have to drill new mounting holes on the fairing or no?

MBP

How'd you go about painting the windscreen?  I think it looks great, and that'd for sure be cheaper than buying an aftermarket blacked out screen.

Sand with really fine grit sandpaper and paint with a paint made to bond to lexan.  I airbrushed mine with createx from hobby lobby.

I did my windshield in blue but you could do the same in black and thats vynle just goto your local custom decal shop and have them do it.  and when you want to change the color just peel and change colors no paint to clean off if you even want to change it up
