Glad your okay. But, I want a story i.e what happened what you were wearing pics as we say here would be good too. How did the gear hold up?

You do know that this thread will probably now go epic!

Yup, those were the pics I was wondering about. I want to know how gear held up what bike looks like etc! Where did the stitches come in at. Related to gear failure or non protected area?

You can take the girl out of the EMS field but you can't take the EMT out of the girl! I love disecting MVA  and their MOIs other trauma related incidents excite me too!

Heal up and take care.

Glad you were wearing your gear! ATGATT You are a lucky young Man! Betcha loved being C-Spined. You are already hurting so we leave you strapped to a board so your already hurt back will start spasming for good measure! You do know EMS workers are masochist right?

What happened was that after the crash I was like I'm fine...and the police officer was like no you're not. I was like look and started walking around. He ordered me to the ground and called rescue. I sat there and they came and I refused treatment but then they were like how old are you? and I was like 17 so they were like it's not your choice so they took me and towed the bike.

They admitted me to trauma and they were like wtf? He has f%$king scrapes and needs stitches. Next minute I know some other biker came in that wasn't wearing gear. I heard "have you ever had a blood transfusion before??" and him coughing and shaZam!.

I got stitches in the knee cuz I wasn't wearing pads there.
Rash on my finger...I dunno how..no holes in the glove.
Rash on legs from wearing jeans only.
Rash on hip
Rash on elbow.

Doc said my knee is fine and that I'll be in pain for a couple weeks.

I got up and felt fine after my last crash, and I had a hole in my arm. You don't feel it for a while. So another car hit you? that's not time for "I'm ok", that's a time for "ooooww my neck!!, my neck and my back! is my bike hurt?! My recently deceased grandmother gave me that bike! she was the only family I had!"

haha, not really, but you get the point. No need to act tough when it's going on someone else's insurance.

Glad you're ok

well first, glad you're okay man.

how fast were you going? doesn't seem to be too fast 'cause your mesh jacket seemed to have held up pretty well. i've seen pics of mesh jackets torn to shreds after a rough slide.

bike is totalled just from a slide?  :dunno_black:

cheers,
