Well, Skeets Progressive told me that I had to list anyone that drives my car and bike at all! I.E my best friend who will occasionally picks up my bike and take it to his house when I'm sick. Also a good lawyer can put two and two together and if he ever finds this thread and you are in a car accident well have fun never being able to establish credit to begin with and forget retirement because you will be paying someone else's bills for the rest of your life! Being that you've already told us your real name is Skeet how many could their possibly be in the U.S uhm 1,535 then wittle that down how many on bikes, how many in your state, city. That only took me all of .0003  seconds to find out how many in the U.S. Now Imagine what a shark I uhm mean money hungry lawyer will do!

BTW how fast was that infinity  going to make you fly spread eagle in the air and then slide what 40ft under an Escalade? How bout some pics of the knee?

Also, do you manicure your nails they look better than mine and I'm a girl. Maybe you should be the one in the kitchen! :thumb:

Not only that, but it sideswiped him and made him fly spread eagle.

Like I said, things don't really add up.

All insurance companies are different. You can get cheaper coverage if you tell them that no one else will be driving your car, but plenty still let you. I don't think it exists for bikes but Skeets was talking a car, and not a bike.

It really doesn't matter what angle a car hits you from, if a car hits a bike, you're gonna get tossed.

tripleb

yeah, no shaZam!, they will pay you for mods if you have that rider, but if you just have the regular insurance they don't.

I've weighed in at 130 before, it still doesn't add up.

You know why it doesn't? Because so far you've basically admitted that the only reason you have a motorcycle is because you think it makes you look cool. You don't exude any sort of maturity or solid reasoning skills. No, quite the contrary, you act childish and bullheaded. When you said you were getting another bike, look at all the criticism you received. How did you respond? In the same way as is expected of you, immaturely and stubbornly. You act like you know everything about everything, and it's plainly obvious that you don't.

It's also obvious that you're trying to impress people, be it here or in real life, or perhaps just trying to impress yourself. It's pretty obvious to the rest of us that you're not one who can admit fault very easily, especially when you're trying to look "cool". Not only that, but based on all the responses you've received in this thread, I am fairly certain you're not the type of person who would be able to say, "Yeah, you guys were right, I should spend more time on the GS." if you did crash. I would not be surprised at all if you made up a story to try and cover yourself so you wouldn't be embarrassed about crashing the bike. Rather than manning up and admitting fault, you skirt around the issues and attempt to divert the negative attention away from you.

Whether or not you lie to the insurance company is not an issue for me, that's your responsibility. However, based on what we know of you so far, the way you approach things, and how you react to things, it seems to me like you aren't that responsible of a person.

I've weighed in at 130 before, it still doesn't add up. So if you're hit from the back you don't go flying? oh cool.

I said I use my bike as a tool? Didn't I? Just because I look cool?? If I wanted to look cool I wouldn't have bought a gs500f? You need to rethink that...If I wanted to look cool I would wear one of those skull cap helmets and a wife beater when its 100 out wouldn't I?

I responded immaturely and stubbornly? I'm 17 maybe you should just stop responding to me and you won't get an immature response.

"You act like you know everything about everything, and it's plainly obvious that you don't." But I ask for advice throughout this thread....LOL.

I admitted 3 times I've dropped the bike...I'm not embarrassed. If I would have crashed my bike by myself I would have said so. I'm not embarrassed of making a mistake. It's life. We all make mistakes and learn from them.

One thing you need to learn is to read threads before you post. Thanks.

Ok, so now we can all move on then.  He will get another bike and has no reason to stay around and defend himself.  He can now leech onto another forum and get the same treatment.  Let it go people, he will weed himself out.

I completely agree with the above statement. Remember the accident is going to be on your driving record and raise your insurance from anywhere from 3 years to as long as maybe even 7 years. So it is likely that in big picture you will be spending most of that money they settle with over the next few years on insurance. I was in an accident in my first truck when I was your age and it came off not too long ago.

You say you are going to have the Ducati and insure it under someone elses name and just ride it anyways. That doesn't sound like the responsible thing to be doing, with a car it is a little different than with a bike. You are definitely much more prone to getting in an accident or being injured on the motorcycle (as you should know already). A lot of times it might not even be something you can avoid no matter how hard you try. And if something happens, they will be all over you. You are 17 that doesn't give you any immunity to being sued, or that certain rules/laws do not apply to you. Especially since you will be 18 probably when you have your new bike. You said it is going to be several months to even a year away since you said you won't be getting it for the winter if I recall correctly. A lot of things can change in your lifestyle from now until then. You may not be living in the same place, you should be thinking about college at your age as well, which let me tell you is NOT by any means cheap. You don't seem to be taking peoples advice too seriously from here. I think what people are doing here is trying to help you open your eyes and think a little more clearly. We are just trying to help you be better prepared, since many of us have been in similar situations. I don't know what its going to take for you to see it for yourself, maybe another accident? I certainly hope it doesn't take that I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Just whatever you end up doing, please think it over, and then think it over again. Your life and future isn't something you want to gamble with because you wanted to look COOL on a nice motorcycle.

On a side note, other than tracking a bike, I don't see the necessity for anything that can go over any posted speed limit with a simple flick of the wrist in 2nd. Maybe that is just me?

Top gear roll ons, available power for when you need it, being able to accelerate when you want to. It takes maturity and skill to control that power, but can be quite handy when you know how to use it.

wife beater and skull cap helmets are not cool...haha, and saying that you are 17 so that is why you act the way you do just caused you to lose. haha, and that last part...you sound like green day, the whiney emo band.  haha, you seen the movie hot rod, you remind me of rod...haha.

i thought i had a reply to this thread when i hit the reply button...but i don't think i do...i think there just comes a point when the best thing you can say is nothing at all. because some people just flat out refuse to listen. he obviously doesn't want our advice. when/if he meets his maker due to his own stupidity it will be one less person to stand behind in the grocery line. ( that was rude, inconsiderate, and mean, i know, i know..... ) all we can do is what we've done, and hope that he survives long enough for it to sink in.  :thumb:
